2018 marks the 50th anniversary of the wonderful musical adventure that is “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.” The movie is loosely based on the 1964 novel by Ian Fleming with the screen adaptation written by iconic children’s author Roald Dahl and directed by Ken Hughes.

To mark this anniversary, we’re proud to re-introduce the iconic 1:45 scale car back into the Corgi range. The wings are moveable and the car will contain all four characters from the original November 1968 release, Dick Van Dyke’s character Caractacus Potts, Adrian Hall’s Jeremy Potts, Heather Ripley’s Jemima Potts and Sally Ann Howes’ Truly Scrumptious!

Rebuilt by Q by the conclusion of Spectre, the iconic Aston Martin DB5 returns again inNo Time To Die. This DB5 features a brand new Italian registration plate, and this classic is never far away from the inevitable action that follows James Bond wherever he goes.

One of the most iconic vehicles to emerge from Q Branch, the Lotus Esprit featured in ‘The Spy Who Loved Me’ is capable of both land driving and underwater use, transforming into a submarine in a matter of seconds. Armed with an array of gadgets including surface to air missiles, the highly versatile Lotus later makes a memorable return to land amongst a packed crowd of beachgoers.

The 'Little Nellie' autogyro is a small one person aircraft, fully fitted out with a powerful selection of gadgets by Q Branch. Flown on an armed reconnaissance mission by James Bond in You Only Live Twice, Little Nellie is forced to prove its mettle when it is engaged by helicopters operated by SPECTRE.

James Bond continued his association with Lotus in For Your Eyes Only, driving this copper coloured Lotus Esprit Turbo in the latter half of the film. Featuring two pairs of skis mounted to the roof, this striking vehicle stands out against the snowy slopes when Bond's mission to retrieve a stolen missile targeting system takes him to the Italian Alps.

The first non-British car to be issued to James Bond by Q Branch, the BMW Z3 Roadster seen in GoldenEyefeatures a parachute braking system and Stinger missiles hidden behind the front headlights. In the end though, 007 does not need to use either in his pursuit of rogue MI6 agent Alec Trevelyan.

Since the first James Bond film, 'Dr No' in 1962, the renowned British secret agent 007 has owned a string of iconic cars, from the classic Aston Martin DB5 to the submersible Lotus Esprit, and the Aston Martin DB10, manufactured exclusively for 'Spectre'. We are now celebrating the release of 'No Time to Die' with another fantastic installment of the James Bond range, featuring cars from the film.  

Don't panic! The beloved yet bumbling Home Guard platoon of Walmington-on-Sea protected the Second World War front line of England for nine series of classic British television comedy. One of the most useful tools at Captain Mainwaring's disposal was Corporal Jones' Thornycroft van, modified from its usual use as a butchers delivery van to transport the platoon on manoeuvres. With the addition of moving port holes for the men to deploy their rifles while staying in relative safety, the vehicle bolstered the reach of the platoon on many of their exterior training missions. This release includes a white metal figure of Corporal Jones, trusty bayonet in hand.

Last released by Corgi in 2001, Mr Bean’s Mini crashes back into the Corgi range for a special appearance, straight from the cult 1990s television series and feature film. Rowan Atkinson’s comedy character, who he once described as “a child in a grown man’s body”, famously got into a series of slapstick scrapes while trying to navigate everyday life, often involving his olive green 1976 British Leyland Mini 1000.

The Angel Interceptor is a single seater strike aircraft developed by International Engineering from the World Army Air Force 'Viper' Jet, but the final blueprint of the Angel is vastly different from the original Viper, having been specially adapted for Cloudbase requirements. 60 ft (18.29 m) long, precision engineered, the plane is incredibly compact, carrying extra electronic instruments and mammoth fuel tanks which enable the aircraft to complete any mission without refuelling. James Bond took to the stars in Moonraker, travelling into Earth's orbit aboard a Moonraker Space Shuttle to stop Hugo Drax from destroying all human life on the planet below. Bond acted as a gunner aboard the Shuttle in the resulting battle with Drax's forces.

Aston Martin shares a long association with the exploits ofJames Bond, and this new set of die-cast vehicles brings you a collection of 3 memorable Aston Martins used by 007. The iconic Aston Martin DB5 is the most famous of all cars to be driven by James Bond, debuting first in Goldfinger and then in seven other Bond films. The car is presented here with the original BMT 216A number plate as seen in Goldfinger, Thunderball, Skyfall, Spectre and No Time To Die. The Aston Martin V12 Vanquish appeared in Die Another Day, featuring a host of gadgets installed by Q Branch, including firing missiles hidden behind the radiator grill. James Bond drove the car in a ferocious battle on a frozen lake in Iceland, deploying all his skill to overcome the villainous Zao. First appearing in Casino Royale, the Aston Martin DBS is driven by James Bond to Montenegro where he joins a high stakes poker game. Later, while racing to rescue Vesper Lynd and discovering her laid in the road in front of him, Bond swerves and barrel-rolls the car seven times - a stunt that broke the record for a cannon-assisted barrel roll.

Have you received your letter to attend Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry this year? If so, make sure you are ready on Platform 9 3/4s at King’s Cross Railway Station on September 1 at precisely 11 o’clock in the morning, as that’s when the iconic Hogwarts Express departs for the first day of term! This disastrous scenario befell Harry Potter and Ron Weasley at the very start of their second year at Hogwarts, but thankfully the pair were able to ‘borrow’ Mr Weasley’s enchanted Ford Anglia. Bestowed with the ability of flight, as well a personality of its own, Harry and Ron’s trip in the car came to a sudden end when they accidentally crash landed into the Whomping Willow in the Hogwarts grounds. Annoyed at this mistreatment, the Anglia disappeared into the Forbidden Forest - much to the despair of Ron’s parents.

Lost far from home or need to escape an approaching moment of great peril? Thankfully, the Knight Bus is available for Wizards in need. Coming to Harry Potter’s rescue before he began his third year at Hogwarts, the distinctive triple decker bus is magically enchanted to speed through the streets, squeeze through any gap, and brake in an instant, enabling it to reach any destination (except those underwater). Then Hagrid's motorcycle and sidecar is the mode of transportation you are most likely to see him arrive on. While typically unconventional, Hagrid often rode this enchanted flying vehicle which once belonged to Harry's godfather – Sirius Black. In the first instalment of the franchise, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, Hagrid uses the motorcycle and sidecar to transport the infant Harry Potter to his new home of 4 Privet Drive, following the murder of his parents, Lily and James Potter at the hands of the vile Lord Voldemort. The enchanted bike makes a further appearance in the final instalment of the franchise, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, when Harry, along with six others disguised as the underaged wizard (having drunk appearance changing Polyjuice potion) is transported by Hagrid to the Burrow. The troupe of magical folk transporting the 7 different Harry's need to ensure they use modes of transport not detectable to the wizarding community – Hagrid's motorcycle perfectly fits the bill.
